Publishing in the Humanities. Strategies, Formats, and Practice

Publishing is central to academic life and career development, yet early-career researchers often face difficult questions: What should we publish, when, where, and in which format? How can we develop a publication strategy that advances my research, my academic career, and my visibility. Designed for PhD candidates and postdocs in the humanities, this workshop offers a practical introduction to the academic landscape.

Open Science. Essentials for Researchers in Humanities and Cultural Studies

Open Science, Open Access, and Open Research Data are becoming an integral part of research and academic practice. Understanding these concepts helps researchers meet funder requirements, make informed publishing decisions, and build skills that are valuable both within and beyond academia. This two-hour workshop introduces key aspects of Open Science in the humanities and cultural studies.

Visual Thinking for Researchers

When we aim to capture, organise, and document information, we usually rely on written language. Yet complex ideas can often be understood and communicated more effectively through simple drawings, symbols, and visual structures. Sketchnoting offers an accessible approach to visual note-taking that helps make connections visible, develop ideas, and communicate knowledge more clearly.
