Tül Dermibaş

Tül Demirbaş studied Musicology at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in İstanbul and completed her Master’s degree in Ethnomusicology and Folklore Studies at the same university with a thesis titled “The Interaction of Migration and Musical Experiences in Ahiska/Meskhetian Turks: Example of Bursa” in 2015. She worked as a Research Assistant at Musicology Department between 2015-2019. Since June 2019, she is a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Musicology of the University of Bern in the SNF-Project “Der Klang der Macht: Klanglichkeit als intermediale Kategorie höfischer Festrituale in interkultureller Perspektive im 15.-17. Jahrhundert” (The sound of power: sonority as an intermedial category of court rituals in an intercultural perspective in the 15th-17th centuries).
