The interdisciplinary and inter-university Swiss School of Latin American Studies (SSLAS) provides both training and a research forum for doctoral students in the social sciences and the humanities working on Latin America. Workshops and retreats, as well as financial support to attend international conferences, allow post-graduate students to improve the quality of their projects, address theoretical and methodological questions and to get in contact with domestic and international experts. The overall aim of the program is to foster outstanding scientific research and exchange that transcends national and disciplinary boundaries.
