Cristina Morales
Cristina Morales is considered as one of Spain‘s most promising young authors. She has worked as a playwright at various theatres and has already received numerous literary prizes for her short stories and novels. In her latest successful novel „Lectura fácil“ (2022, German: „Leichte Sprache“), Cristina Morales takes the perspectives of four „mentally handicapped“ women. Energetically and bluntly, they express their anger at a society that patronises and restricts them. For the novel, the author was awarded the international literature prize of the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin.
